Friends and family of Eddie Trunk have been very worried and concerned lately. It seems that while all may look good from the outside, friends and family on the inside say that 49 year old Trunk has been a shell of his former self (even the shell still weighs about 275lbs). Eddie continues to spiral into a deep, dark depression after Judas Priest’s Rob Halford recently changed his phone number opting to not give his new number to Trunk.
Insiders have reported to Over The Top Metal News that off the air and off camera, Trunk has been a mess and is absolutely heartbroken over the fact that his long time pal refuses to give him his new number. A production assistant on That Metal Show (who chooses to remain anonymous) had this to say:
“Eddie is a mess. I’m really worried about him. Backstage off set, he sits in a room eating pints of Haagen Dazs and listening to Winger’s “Headed for a Heartbreak” on continuous loop. He’s so heartbroken. He keeps texting Rob’s old number with hopes that maybe something will happen and nothing. He just sits there staring at his smart phone and crying.”
Over the Top Metal News also received word that Trunk had reached out to Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo with hopes that maybe he could communicate with the late great Ronnie James Dio to see if he may have an answer. When Caputo was finally able to reach Dio, she returned with a message for Trunk saying that Dio said, “Go away you fat fuck. You bugged the hell out of me in life. Stop bugging me in the afterlife.” Caputo then said Dio somehow managed to change his psychic channel line so that he can no longer be reached.
Trunk continues to wallow in his depression and us here at Over The Top Metal News can only wish him the best.
