Last night the world was shocked at the departure of long time (meaning more than 2 albums) Megadeth members Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover. With only two cryptic site updates/tweets, Broderick and Drover announced their departure from Megadeth due to artistic differences. Over the Top Metal News happens to have some insider information from Camp Megadeth as to the true reasons behind the departure of Drover and Broderick.
Over the Top received some email transmissions between Mustaine and Ellefson and we were shocked to discover that are recruiting former KISS members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss to form a brand new band: KISS OF DETH. As we here at Over the Top read the emails, we just couldn’t believe what we were reading so we went to the source. No, not Mustaine. He won’t talk to us. No, not Ellefson. He’s busy at his worship services. No, not Ace Frehley. They can’t find him. Over the Top reached out to legendary drummer Peter Criss first thing this morning to get to the bottom of things. It turns out that Criss is attending the Butts, Montana Comic Con where he will be doing a signing. It will be”Pay $1.00 to Get All You Shit Signed” Saturday”. Anyways, we were psyched that Criss took our call so that we could ask Criss about this news. He had this to say to us about Kiss of Deth:
“Me and Ace are really excited about our new project with Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson, KISS OF DETH. It’s going to be swell for sure. We’re going to be doing some KISS classics and some Megadeth classics as well. Well, we’ll play the slower, easier to play Megadeth classics as well as a cover of Dokken’s “Kiss of Death.” Get it? Yeah, it’s gonna be groovy for sure. The Catman is going to be back in full force with Kiss of Deth in 2015. I just hope they can find Ace. Last I heard he was under a table in Vegas somewhere.”
Over the Top Metal News will keep you posted on any forthcoming news regarding this special supergroup. This could be exciting. It could also be horrible. We’ll see what happens. Stay Tuned!
