Faster Pussycat will finally get their due! It was announced via an un-televised Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame press conference that the somewhat not really legendary sleaze rockers will be immortalized in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Hall of Fame Chairman Jon Landau had this to say:
For over 20 years, Faster Pussycat has been a band that made a marginal mark on the face of hard rock. With hits such as “House of Pain” and, well, “House of Pain”, Faster Pussycat is a band. They are a band that will be forever immortalized here at the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame in the ground floor men’s restroom in the handicapped stall. When you visit the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, please be sure to check it out. When you do, you’ll definitely know that you were lucky that you didn’t use the other stall! Long live Faster Pussycat and long live Rock N’ Roll. Please be sure to flush.
Taime Downe, Faster Pussycat’s only original member left that will actually admit to being in the band just had this to say:
“Faster Pussycat finally made it into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame! Please call The Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame at (216) 781-7625 and let them know just how much you support and appreciate them honoring us! Maybe eventually they’ll move us to a water fountain or something. I think it’s awesome that they dedicated a bathroom stall to us. As a matter of fact, I think it’s the shit!”
Over The Top Metal News reached out to former guitarist Gregg Steele for a comment but we were told by his In and Out Burger manager that he was not allow to accept phone calls while on duty.
